1. Obligatory words:

to distort - deform, misconstrue
To twist out of shape.
  • A grimace distorted her beautiful face, when she saw her ex-boyfriend.
  • If you bend a drinking straw it won't work because it wull be distorted and the liquid will leak out.
perception - consciousness, recognition.
The ability to be aware of something throught the senses.
  • While making the first tattoo I discovered that I have high perception of pain.
  • Her perception of the world aroung her is little, she always seemed to daydream all the time.
high blood pressure - hypertension, nadciśnienie
It is a medical condition in which the blood presure in the arteries is stubbornly raised.
  • People who suffer from high blood pressure can change their diet and it should help to lower the pressure.
  • High blood pressure is the most important  preventable risk factor for premature death.
shortcoming - flaw, defect
A failure to meet a certain standard.
  • I could speak months about my boyfriend's shortcomings.
  • The biggest shortcoming of this solution is that it is too epensive for us.
urge - impulse, longing
A strong desire or impuls.
  • I had the strong urge to quarrel with him becase I saw him with another girl.
  • In raising children extremely important are appropriate urges, which make them ambitious.
